"Technologically speaking, change is a bit slow. We are only just now beginning to use Spring Framework and migrate our existing modules from EJB 2.0 to Spring/Hibernate. Also, Unit/Integration testing is 60-70 percent of our effort, while development is 30-40 percent. Highly process oriented environment."

"Developer machines should have more disk space and more memory; this would speed development efforts."

"I enjoyed the people I worked for and worked with. I liked the fast pace of the job and how it changed daily. Each day was different and exciting. Over the last 10 years new process were always changing operation. This change meant learing new things."

"Being on call 24/7. With all the changes taking place sometimes this was a headache. Having to downsize people over the last 5 years. This process caused many sleepless nights."

"Be upfront with people. Everyone should be treated equally. No department is better than another and the rules for all should be the same."
