What do you like about working at Federal Government?

"Right now not much. Back-stabbing and unfriendly. My particular group has a reputation of bad blood between the other divisions."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Negotiate up front and move around. Make sure you know who you will be working for and with. Keep your ears close to the ground and your mouth shut."

What don't you like about working at Federal Government?

"I think I've been doing that. Working as a Fed is a big disapointment for me anyway."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Think about employee value and what they'll lose when we're gone and they'll have no one to teach the new employees their jobs. I think the Federal Government is going to see a mass exodus of retirees in a very close time frame. They won't be able to avoid it. Feds are just fed up wtih getting paid less and treated worse than their contractor counterparts (not that there's anything wrong with contracting). I think this furlough/sequestion thing is the straw that breaks the camel's back. We have not recieved even a cost of living raise in two years."
