"I am a one man band."
What do you like about working at FCI?
"I am self-employed, so I call the shots. But, I work like a dog 7 days a week 60 plus hours, like a running a 7-11 and no guarantee of booked business."
What don't you like about working at FCI?
"Since my compensation is solely success-fee based, and capital placement, which is determined and driven by the capital markets is still so volatile, the success of placement cannot be quantified or projected. This being said, my ultimate annual compensation cannot be determined as well. I can make $0 a year or $1mm a year. But ultimately, there is no stability or measure of the probability of success, because of how picky debt and equity sponsors are in current market. This has been very unsettling to me."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Hedge your strategy. Seek a stable organization to bring the existing book of business along with the years of accumulated experience and knowledge over to, rather than swimming in storm trenched ocean with weights tied to your ankles. Eventually and ultimately, a fatal outcome."
