What do you like about working at ev3?

"It was fun working as an Accounting Manager for a publicly traded company to see how their systems and processes compared to those at privately held companies. I enjoyed setting up some new procedures to improve tracking of work in process on new tools and equipment, working closely with the information systems specialist in the accounting dept to revise reporting to department managers, renewing my experience, with foreign currency exchanges, working closely with the outside audit team in providing documentation, SOX compliance and industry required controls for spending."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Do your background research on their current public reports and as always Be completely honest with yourself as to what you want and need for your future career and personal growth so that you can provide this information and determine if the opportunity at EV3 will provide 75-80% of the opportunities you need to try to achieve both objectives, professional and personal growth."

What don't you like about working at ev3?

"I actually enjoyed working at EV3 very much but the limited career growth and the financial difficulties they were experieincing required I decline to job offers. It was clear many of the accounting responsibilities were going to be moved to the main offices in Minnesota making job stability insecure."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"The managers in Minnesota are a little out of touch with the situations at the Irvine office. Therefore, it would be a wise investment to work with specialsts in bringing both the Irvine and Minnesota management teams closer together in their understanding of their department's goals, challenges, and responsibilities within their groups and how they fit into the entire organization's goals and expectations."
