"Too many inflated egos and people who thought they know better than you. No room for advancement unless you go the sales path. The pay sucked. The 401k didnt match. The benfits like medical/dental didnt cover jack sh-t."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Fire them all and start over. So many of them were completely inept. How they got to where they were was either they knew someone or they pulled the old buffalo job."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Work with recruiters (not the one placing you) on your position to research salary with competitors. Negotiate vacation upfront. Request information regarding local turnover, particularly your position and your direct supervisor. Request ride alongs with sales before beginning. Esquire can be a great place to work with the right fit and attitude. Determine if you feel the corporate culture will be a good fit. Some professionals have worked for Esquire many years, happily. In contrast, only 1 person remains with Esquire that began working with me less than 5 years ago. If you want to work for Esquire, request for an informal mentor to help you be successful. Take full advantage of the intense training and marketing contributions from corporate."
