ENKI Health and Research Systems Anonymous Employee

"The incompetence, heartlessness, emotional instability and narcissism of upper and middle management at Enki stagger the imagination. The CEO behaves like a spoiled child (his parents started the company) and is prone to temper tantrums that would embarrass a two-year-old. Loyal employees are fired at the whim of upper management. Rules are applied to staff at the picking and choosing of management; behavior that will get one person fired will get another rewarded and/or promoted (this is a company who plays favorites in a massive way). Severe and abusive sexual harassment goes unpunished. The behavior of management is incredibly unethical towards both staff and clients, and at times illegal (eg, upper management forging clients’ signatures on treatment plans, middle management adding negative comments to staff performance review after it has been reviewed and signed). Clients are often misdiagnosed as having bipolar disorder, and while management knows this is an issue, they have allowed it to continue for over a decade. Upper management deliberately puts unqualified people in supervisor/middle management positions who lack judgment and sound thinking, who micromanage and who won't advocate for their staff, because these kinds of employees will do whatever they're told (no matter how unethical, in some cases illegal) and are easy to control. Abusive treatment among staff towards one another (and by management to staff) is superficially addressed and ultimately ignored. For months on end, food was constantly being stolen from the lunchroom. Enki has faced legal reprimands for their lack of compliance in providing progress letters to DCFS in a timely matter for court hearings; and because this company does not adhere to the treatment models they claim to be using, it was recently reprimanded by DMH as well. Enki's upper management views hardworking clinical staff who break their backs for clients as a dime a dozen and discards them at the drop of a hat or on a whim."
