What do you like about working at Englin's Fine Footwear?

"I love that as a college student, this company took me in. I applied with a proposal to the owner of things I thought I could do to better the company, and faithfully, he allowed it. I have worked for this company for two years, and I have worked autonomously on what I deamed necessary and on what I thought would be best for the company. The management is amazing--they are the most caring people for their employees. There has never been a day when I did not want to go to work."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"The only tip I have is to be yourself. The management is very humble and the store is very small, so they will find out who you really are if you're hired!"

What don't you like about working at Englin's Fine Footwear?

"The owner is quite stingy about giving raises, no matter how hard one works or what they have accomplished for the company. When I started, the pay was fine, because I was a full-time college student. Now that I have graduated with two Bachelor's degrees, I am looking for better pay, advancement, and benefits, which none of these are offered to me with this company."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I have no suggestions for the management. They have always done a wonderful job. What I love most is they always listened to their employees about everything and did something about it. They are great."
