"ST is a european company which is currently in progress of closing all it US manufacturing site."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Keep a strong presence in the US and majority of product are currently sold to US."

"It was Motorola MOS 12 that I was working at before I moved to the Sensors Business Group"

What do you like about working at Motorola Solutions?

"The people there were very dedicated to success. I was part of the initial start up of the facility and while we had long days, the group was very committed to the factory's success."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Semiconductors is a tough industry right now. Many jobs are being moved overseas, so you need to consider relocation overseas in the future should you stay."

What don't you like about working at Motorola Solutions?

"As the enconomy turned, we had to make difficult decisions. As a manager, I had to let go of some very talented engineers and technicians. Additionally, the company went from being a people/family oriented business, to treating people like a number. While I understand you need to be competitive in the market place, there is a need for work/balance. This is true throughout the company."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Change the way the do performance management. When lay offs have to happen, if there are poorer performers in other areas, the management team should re deploy people in an organization that is being downsized to back fill those positions."
