What do you like about working at Alcatel-Lucent?

"In the early days.... (1998-2003) it was a fun, exciting, job with good people, new challenges, and a sense of purpose. They also took very good care of those who worked hard."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Do your homework. The scope of the company is in a state of change, so you have to be careful that you do not end-up occupying a position that will soon go-away."

What don't you like about working at Alcatel-Lucent?

"Telecommunications has been a tough field for the past few years and job security just completely dissolved. The only thing worse than being laid-off is being one of the unfortunate few left to worry about the next lay-off..."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Remain true to your plan... I wish you and Alcatel-Lucent the best of luck in the future."
