"In sales, 99% of people don't make it, but if you do, the money will be great after about a year.Expect a base of $30k or $36k (dependent on your experience) and cold calling for a solid six months before starting to move on. You'll make a little commission after four months or so, but your base will drop shortly thereafter. You won't see good money for around a year. Lots of micro-managing during this time and mixed signals. If you can stomach all of that, you can make over $100k a year.Remember: it's huge sacrifice to get there, and hardly anyone makes it."

It realistically entails a minimum of six months of cold-calling before that starts to taper off, a pay drop, and a year before starting to actually make money. That is, if you can survive the micro-managing, constantly changing expectations and mixed signals. If you can make it past all that, the money's great. This is in the sales department."
