"I love that HomeAway has taken all of the boring repetitive work out of development by using modern practices such as automated deployments, integration servers, and company specific command-line tools. The company also adopts good software development practices such as code reviews and agile methodologies. The only bad thing I have to say about the role is that regular developer roles (i.e. non-architect) tend to be rather compartmentalized and limited."
