"Primary worker in cases for children who were victims of abuse and/or neglect."
What do you like about working at Eckerd Corporation?
"I liked being able to help the children and families. I was able to reunite some and found safer places for others. It was a lot of hard work but you were able to see all of the good it did."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"I would say it's a very stressful position, so be prepared for this and be prepared to answer questions in the interview process about how you handle stress. I would also say you need to be very organized and be able to deal with clients who will at times be aggressive and rude to you due to the situation they're in and the role you play in that."
What don't you like about working at Eckerd Corporation?
"There was very little support within the company. I was told when hired there would be several resources available to case managers in order to help with the case load, but they were mostly unavailable. They would also ask what changes were needed, but wouldn't actually implement them."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Upon leaving the company, I suggested that they have a cap on the number of cases a case manager can have as other agencies in our area did. I also suggested that they hire more family support workers because there wasn't enough of them available to offer support in many cases."
