"The employees within your rank all get what's going on and share your sentiment. The organization had grown too fast in the 90's and is now tailing back and laying off staff. However you can get your degree while working there so it may be a good launching pad for a career elsewhere with an advanced degree. This industry has peaked and is now on the downturn. Lot's of layoffs in the last two years but hopefully they'll figure it out and create opportunities for growth for their top tier employees."

"I like that it is a relaxing environment, and nobody is there to keep pushing you or rushing you to do things."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"This is a easy company to get into. You just have to make sure that you keep your gpa up to a 3.0 or above in school."

What don't you like about working at DeVry?

"The salary is bad. I only get 150 a week, so that is about $7,800 a year. I am struggling to pay off my bills."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Keep up the good attitude and you should probably think about giving us a raise."

"Run! There is no room for advancement, development or growth. If they cannot replace you, they will not even allow you to move lateral."

What don't you like about working at DeVry?

"No incentive for regular staff members. Staff isn't acknowledged, compensated, recognized, or respected"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Pay the people doing the work, too many managers/directors/titles who do not contribute to the workload. Not enough staff to complete the work that needs to be done to earn all of the extra layers of management bonuses. Way too much management, nothing is done to pay individual contributors."
