"THINK TWICE"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"DON'T DO IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its a mistake !!!!!!!!!! The equipment is trash. 80's retrofit electronics coupled with a 90's computer system. The system is pieced together from 250 different vendors. Its nightmare to keep running. Cables and wires hanging all over the place. The machines run very hot, you burn yourself everyday. The machines are not safe the safety measures have been by passed. You will get your fingers smashed for sure. The company refuses to send parts so you have to rig the machine to keep them running. You have to buy your own tools. Plant working environment is 80 degrees F at 40% humidity because of the paper and printing requirements. Company refused on multiple occasions to buy safety equipment for the employees. You have to use Solvents DS-108 and Acetone on a daily basis. The chemicals make you sick. I was sick for months after quitting. The walls in the plant would be black if they didn't clean them once a week because of the toner particles floating around in the air. They say the toner is safe but I don't believe it. They make you sign a 1 year agreement. That's their idea of employee retention. If you have to work for them get all the money you can up front because you will not get a raise and if you do after a 1 year you will be lucky if its a quarter."

What don't you like about working at Delphax Technologies?

"EVERYTHING !!!!!!!!!!. The management is VERY abusive to the technicians. They yelled and screamed at us. There is absolutely no chance for advancement. Your a tech you will stay a tech. The raises suck big time unless your a special tech. They play favorites. You literally have to run to keep up with the machines at work. I lost 40lbs working for them in 6 months. Warning do not change jobs. If you already have a job stick with it I can guarantee that your job is not that bad. I made the mistake of changing jobs because they offered me more money. They tricked me, lied to me and pissed on my leg and told me it was raining. The company is very deceptive especially the upper management. They have some serious financial problems and they could really careless about the employee until you go to quit. I had to threaten them with a law suite just so I could quit and I worked for them for 1 1/2 years. Last I checked there were 42 complaints against them filed with the labor board 3 years ago. They are in serious debt. When I left they borrowed 7 million to pay off a 4 million loan. They were kicked off the NASDAQ exchanged for dropping less than 1 dollar a share."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Quit, Fire yourself, Sit on printer shaft and spin. Go out of business. STOP Lying! They will lie to you in the interview. Then you go to corporate for training Minnesota and it seem like everything is just wonderful until you actually have to go to work. You'll see. RESTATING - their idea of employee retention is to make you sign a 1 year agreement or you have to pay back all the training cost."
