What do you like about working at Del Taco?

"What I loved about Del Taco was that my area Director who was Mary Mcgill at the tI'me was out going, positive and helpful.This was my first General Manager position and it was great because this is the kid of low stress level company you would want to go from assistant to general manager in. The training was at a secondary location with similar sales volume to mine and was very detailed. There were work books and visual aids which trained you in how to do everything from fold a burrito to how to do the financials, and budget-ting step by step, never leaving you lost and confused. The benefits were very good at the time so I'm sure they have gotten better over the years. They offered medical, dental and vision as well as 401k. The cleaning building maint., ordering,and pars were are all broken down in detail. One thing I loved about this company is when you come out of training you know how to do your job well. You also know that you have great support. Del taco also has great product with fresh meats and produce used. The team members were great as well, the team members believed in the company and several of my team members had been in my store over 5 years. All of the General Managers from the surrounding stores were personable and helpful, answering questions and even loaning product."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"When you interview with them be yourself they love a grea personality and don't be afraid to talk to them. When you talk to them have confidence and let them know you are willing to go the extra mile and you will learn what evers needed to do your job well. Remember they bring in mangers who don't always have allot of general manager experience they are looking for people who want to learn and move up. Good luck !!!"

What don't you like about working at Del Taco?

"At the time they did not offer armored transport which was a serious safety issue for me. All GM's were given pagers due to having stores who were open 24hrs. which basically meant in the middle of the night or first thing in the morning you could be getting a page requiring you to get out of bed and go to your store.The uniform's for staff member's were very cheap and unattractive, at the time they consisted of a yellow printed T-shirt and black dockers."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"If you are a Assistant manager transitioning into the General Manager position this is the job for you. They are a low maintenance, low stress level company, the product is very good and sells itself.The training is very detailed, and training the team members is a cinch."
