4.9 I have been at Dave and Busters since 2016. I began as a Area Operations Manager(AOM) as the hiring and training manager in Carlsbad, CA. I then became the bar manager in Carlsbad before getting promoted to senior manager in 2017 in Irvine, CA. As the Senior Manager I was responsible for the development of 8 AOMs as well as the validation of all inventories and cost centers. In 2018 I had the opportunity to try a new restaurant venture with Rock and Brews as a General Manager. Unfortunately the ownership had financial hardships and we had to close my location. Upon returning to Dave and Busters I was brought back in as a Assistant General Manager, my main responsibilities included the development of 12 managers as well as managing the P&Ls, invoicing and overall financial success for the building. Due to medical problems with my family in Arizona I made the decision to step down from AGM in order to transfer back home to help out. Where I am at now in my career? Right now I would like to take my unique skill set to another industry. I realized that ultimately I was not being challenged enough in the restaurant industry anymore. I am extremely well versed from handling customer situations, to leading teams. I am a fast leaner and an even harder worker. Well as far as I am concerened - they eliminated my position - which I had always felt I was insurining that the corporation did not get ripped off nor the employees get ripped off. I think that eliminate the Business Analyst position will cost the company in the long run because there is no one minding the store - and if the managers are in the back of the house they can't be watching the guests.

Respect the game techs. Unlike wait staff and cooks you can not go cutting your game staff to make budget on slow weeks. It might work better if you based weekly payroll budgets on Friday Night / Saturday sales rather than on the current system that sometimes see the amusement department over staffed on Monday - Thursday then under staffed for the weekend.
