"I like the helpful and professionalism of entire staff. They were excellent. I found the benefits great. I don't know about now though..."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Ask exactly what is expected of you. Minute by minute times, overtime, is your team understaffed by more than just you, make sure you truly feel your manager is trustworthy. Ask questions."

What don't you like about working at Datatel?

"I worked there before the original owner died, Russ Griffith. He built a fantastic company - personnel wise too - but unfortunately after his death, everything changed. The new CEO fired and laid people off -- via grouping everyone together and telling them to go via a room packed together with a bridge phone for remote employees! People that had been there for over 30 years! He never really said that they were being fired, but fired they were. Some of the finest minds in education disappeared in a short phone call. All they great benefits and rewards and management also ended. They restructured to just a typical corporate, no leniency company. I worked so many hours that I would stay till daybreak, go shower, come back!"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Those that are left - remember when you began and why you stayed. Most of all, remember you may be the next corralled group that disappears."
