What do you like about working at Datatel?

"Most non-management employees are very intelligent and great people. The higher education market is easy to work within, they're accepting of less than stellar products and that's what you'll find at Datatel."

What don't you like about working at Datatel?

"Datatel has changed significantly over the past years- I would certainly no longer consider it a best place to work. Management, and VPs don't seem competent or caring about the majority of employees. It's all about the bottom line. The products that are in development are not good, full of bugs, and when compared to competitors pretty pathetic. But, they know they've got a captive audience of clients who won't spend the money right now to switch to a better non-legacy system."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Remember that employee satisfaction is important in addition to profitability- cutting perks, events, benefits, office space etc is not the way to keep good employees at your company."
