"Opportunity to talk with visitors who like plants and beauty, nature, the outdoors. The potential for the physical gardens is huge (but it remains a far-off potential)."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"It's all about appeasing the insecurities of the executive director and being submissive to her agenda. It is NOT a healthy or secure work environment -- just ask the +50 staff who have come and gone in the past five years."

What don't you like about working at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden?

"Micromanagement. No staff involvement on ideas. Clueless upper management trumps the garden's presentation and quality. Only minions with poor talents and abilities remain, all others quickly leave. No one wants to be associated with low quality."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Please leave! This facility, gardens and its professional and community reputation have tumbled horrifically since 2007."
