POS Support Representative
in Smithfield, RI

"CVS Caremark gives a small amount of pay with virtually no internal career advancement."

What do you like about working at CVS?

"It was a good job to have just coming out of college. I was able to get experience with working at a corporate help desk as well as experience using applications part of help desk support. The supervisors are very helpful and the employees are very friendly."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Expect to bring a bagged lunch to work, 30 minutes is not enough time to go out. Also, personal electronic devices and internet usage is not allowed at the help desk. So, bring a newspaper or book to read for those slow periods. If you need particular days off, request it at least a month and half ahead of time or you will not get the day off."

What don't you like about working at CVS?

"Workforce Management is not sympathetic in the least bit when it comes to personal dates needed that come up. The pay is very low and not enough to pay for all the bills. They also have very little, if any, room for internal advancement."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"The call center can be extremely hectic and not many people can keep up with the pace at times. Having more employees on a time would allow for employees to have short breaks when times get hectic. Lunch breaks of 30 minutes is also not long enough to enjoy a meal during the day."
