"I’m just going to be completely honest here. CVS will work you like a dog for very little compensation. They only allow stores a certain amount of “hours” that can be on the weekly schedule. So, essentially, they’re being cheap and don’t want to pay more in salaries than the limit they set. This means your store will be constantly understaffed, and therefore customers will be more angry (due to scripts not being filled yet, minor mistakes being made, etc.) and you as the pharmacy technician will have to deal with this anger while trying to complete your other duties. You will constantly be doing the work of what should be several technicians, but since the hours are limited, you’ll be doing all of it on your own. Things could run way more smoothly if they just allowed more hours for people to work. It can be a nightmare at times. $13 per hour is NOT NEARLY enough for the stress, workload, and grief. Also my personal store is filthy and we get at least a dozen complaints a day to tidy up, but corporate still won’t OK hiring someone to clean the building. It’s absurd how cheap corporate can be."
