"Curtiss-Wright as the company is very investor-oriented and will do anything to satisfy them including cut good talent. It's really a shame because the people that work there are amazing and very fun, caring, and kind-hearted. The facility I worked had a very family-oriented environment. If someone is looking for a place to work that makes you feel welcome then Curtiss-Wright is the company to work for. However, don't expect to be compensated fairly for the efforts you put in. Expect to make around 20k less than the national average of your typical manufacturing/process engineering position."

"My job at Curtiss-Wright was at first very fullfulling, as I had to solve a lot problems and in general improve the manufacturing process, but then a management change came and everything started going downhill. My current manager doesn´t manage at att, in fact he pushes all of the engineers to the side and he performs some tasks on his own, and only later we find out that he made serious process changes without documenting or testing anything, also there is no communication on the company´s situation."

"I am a contract worker and have been here for 2-3 months and have found it to be a good company to work for. Everyone who has worked for them over 20 years gets a reserved parking space and I have to park out in the back as all the close spots are taken with reserved spot . Great retention of employees."

"I've worked for Curtiss-Wright for almost seven years. I have moved up from technician to engineer, and now I am a supervisor for the nuclear division I&C group. Each day brings new challenges. Succeeding in those challenges is very rewarding. The leadership and management team is great to work with."

"I've been with Curtiss-Wright for 2 years now and I would have to say that it's 1 of the most exciting jobs that I've had. Working with laser systems and the various aircraft parts is a total departure from what I was used to doing."

"Great people to work with, great learning experience. Corporate management was not in the best interest of the technical nature of the work and did not show value for employees."

Project Engineer

"I've worked at Curtiss Wright Enertech for over seven years. Management has a lack of vision in the aftermath of Fukushima, Japan. Promises and assurances were made to the employees, but still layoffs occurred (five rounds so far). An example of bad management is the operations manager. Perhaps he's a good engineer, but he's not a good manager or has any business aptitude. By laying off experienced workers in favor of newer and less experienced ones is just not smart. Plus, when your recent hires tend to be mostly based on your ethnic group or suggestions from close friends and not on qualifications/experience, something is not right. Perhaps, it's for the monetary bonus for getting people hired into the company. And that's probably why the company is failing. And the worst part is that the rest of management and HR turns a blind eye. There is also a lack of promotional opportunities unless you're in the inner circle. On the plus side, there are good and hard working people that will perform above and beyond to fill the gaps. But in the end, it's all about connections and favoritism."
