"I've been at Cuna Mutual for 5 years. Overall you run into the same challenges as every large organization, but I do feel like they try their best to treat their employees well. Some things that require work across teams are less efficient than smaller shops, but overall my co-workers are all very knowledgeable and focused. The benefits are excellent too, especially in my role which is unionized IT/analytical work."

"At CUNA Mutual Group I quickly filled the insurance agent role in our business protection department, but desired more opportunities for growth. Management did not demonstrate a desire to promote from within and hired new employees for open positions. With a high turnover rate, only three individuals in my department were there for more than 2 years. The role was advertised as an underwriting role but it became apparent that we were insurance agents. I believe this lead to the high turnover, since the job duties were not what was expected."

"Cuna is a non-friendly diverse place, nor has any established upper management established any way of of supporting employees, including HR. Company are not prone to openness about changes, nor to different people of colored background, with very few so the majority overrules these few. Come in during lunch and get a feel of how little diversity there is, except the IT department, which is an obvious stereotypical outlook. Management is broken, playing chess among its team members."
