What do you like about working at Covance?

"I enjoyed the flexibility provided by the company. Covance would allow great flexibility with work hours. They would also allow 4 day work weeks or 1/2 day Fridays if CRA's were working a lot of hours during the week provided they were keeping up with their work."

What don't you like about working at Covance?

"I did not like the culture within as it felt as though many times projects were pitted against one another and their was an unspoken competition between teams. It is also my opinion that management played favorites."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I think management needs to listen to and trust their CRA's just a little bit more."

"I like some of the people in other departments. Other departments have advanced technologically but, my department could do much better."

"I liked the diverse nature of the work being done there. I was exposed to new chemistry and food science routinely."

"Be yourself and make sure you are honest about everything. Some people were let go when they found that they were not honest about previous activities. Yes they do check even after you are hired."

"The salary and some of the politics."

"I suggest a salary increase. I often had to work 50-60 hours in a pay period to afford rent."

"Talk to several employees before before making a decision. Interview promises are not always what they seem."

"Management is very disorganized at the Austin site"

"Listen to the employees. Get all the facts before you act. Get on the same page. Do not promise what you cannot deliver. More flexible schedules(Only the Austin site does this pertain to)"

"It might sound like a great place, but the company is full of incompetence save for a few technology experts that the company has managed to acquire. Other than that, you'll feel like a rat on a sinking ship."

"The fact that they will reveal confidential information about you to just about anyone."

"Hire competent management instead of those who have no idea what their job consists of."

"Don't bother working there. It look great on the outside but once you're in, you will see the real company"
