"I worked at Country Financial for a year and a half and I learned so much about Devops and development. I don't think I could have had better experience anywhere else learning about Devops and Country Financial having a great culture to learn and grow."
"Amazing support. Great culture. Fantastic training and development. Anyone interested in sales & entrepreneurship should work for COUNTRY!"
"Worked for Country for 15 years. Peers and co-workers were excellent. Upper management (director and above, company wide) mediocre at best. Decent pay. Good benefits. Health Insurance premiums high."
"A company with serious financial concerns and managerial malpractice. IT management bullies and intimidates it's staff, providing no clear direction. Has resorted to massive staff cuts in an effort to reduce expenses by tens of millions. A longtime customer and employee disillusioned on both counts. If you value your health, avoid at all costs."
"I've worked here for almost a year and love it."
"It's good, nice place to work and grow."
"If I was content with my position and didn't wish to advance, then it's perfect."
What do you like about working at Country Financial?
"Great pension. Honestly, that was about it. Very little else was worthwhile."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Plenty of other insurance companies out there who are worth your time."
What don't you like about working at Country Financial?
"It is completely a good ol boys club there. You can advance easily if you are buddies with the in group.. Talent is secondary. I've seen some major league schlumps get promotions that leave a lot of people shaking their head. It's a small company, who believes they are massive. Micro managing is their specialty. They have closed a regional office, and have downsized several people. Not a very good company IMO. The united way fundraisers are a great way to get in good with management...since they force donating down your throats, and make notice who gives and who doesn't."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Clean house. Get rid of the middle to upper management levels that are simply collecting a paycheck. Give your employees a say."
