"I like the educational atmosphere, and the interesting people you meet, and interesting work you do."

"I do not have any tips. There are so many different groups to work with on campus, and I'm sure they all work differently. It is a beautiful campus, and nice place to work if you live in the area."

What don't you like about working at Cornell University?

"There is not a lot of room for movement in the university."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Some process improvements to improve cost for our customers, and less time spent for the contributors."

"I really enjoyed the time I spent working here. The staff was very friendly and made it worth going to work every day, some more then others, just like most places. It can get really busy and they will ask a lot of you, but that's a good thing, because when it's slow, the store can be miserable."

"The setting and atmosphere were great, the people were fantastic."

"As the economic situation forced a realignment of our approach to IT, the work became less interesting."

"Make sure you have a vision that your organization as a whole believes in."

"If you're a tutor for the athletic department you decide with your pupil when and where you want to work. It gives you incredible flexibility, especially when prelim season rolls in and days you used to be free now need to become study periods."

"It's much better to have technical classes you can tutor because those are the classes people most generally need help in."

What don't you like about working at Cornell University?

"If your athlete didn't show up, you had to reschedule and waste your time waiting for them."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"None. This was a well-managed operation where the athletes were served the help they needed due to their intense schedules."

"The independence, flexibility, and technical work required. I also enjoyed training new employees."

"The long hours, the late nights, and the last minute problems."

"They need to buy some better sound equipment and get a ramp for the truck."

"The company has a great reputation. It is well known. The company allows employees to use their skills to their full potential and enhance on what they know."

"I don't have tips because after being interviewed by them, the process was enlightening and the questions were standard. Most interviews are similar to this one."

What don't you like about working at Cornell University?

"My old company was not using my skills to the full potential. I would like to move up so that I can enhance my skills and be a great asset to the company."

"In my old company, management should offer more positions in the company for certain employees to move up."

"I enjoy the scientific collaborations with intelligent, energetic people. I relish the freedom to get things done in my own way, while adhering to tight time frames. I also enjoy the emphasis on life-work balance."

"Generally, Cornell is a great place to work but, like any company, your experience will be largely determined by your direct supervisor."

What don't you like about working at Cornell University?

"My position has no path for increased responsibility and, as it is grant-funded, it is not a very secure position. I wish that I worked in a more collaborative setting."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"In general, Cornell is a fantastic place to work. My particular position is somewhat restrictive. If management provided more opportunities for collaboration, it would be more fulfilling position."
