Corban University Anonymous Employee
in Dallas, OR

"Good and bad sometimes come in the same small package."

What do you like about working at Corban University?

"Very friendly staff, students, practically all of faculty. Small classes and high standards for giving out grades of A and B. Some excellent teaching done here and students are in a position to get a great education if they work."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"1. Ask if the position they are interviewing for is a new position. If so, make sure you know what you will be asked to do if that position folds.2. Make the interviewers clarify positions on grade inflation.3. Beautiful campus, lovely people. This campus is practically a family business and hires out of the family are not common."

What don't you like about working at Corban University?

"Frustration b/c hired for one position and then having to work constantly in field unfamiliar to me with no on the job training either. Corban has a private school syndrome that STRONGLY suggests faculty pass students who do not complete minimum requirements."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Be more willing to supply real support and training for new faculty. Face the fact that C and D grades are being given to students who do not meet minimum requirements and do something about it."
