Education: Many controls engineers have degrees in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or another related field of study. Completion of advanced courses covering instrument and control engineering is recommended.
Career Path: In order to have a successful career as a controls engineer, you must be efficient at communication, troubleshooting, and critical thinking.
