Submit a Review"I have been in many facets of construction for years and find Quality Control to be the most satisfying. Challenges and diversity are good things to have in life. I have the satisfaction of putting a part of life's puzzle together, creating something substantial. Where there was nothing now there is a school or hospital, something that I build and leave behind but will know that it benefits people for years to come. There is not really a down side unless we don't succeed."

"It's great. Excited to be here, it's everything I thought I was getting."
What do you like about working at Hal Hays Construction?
"Still new here. Only a couple months in, but I love it. I don't understand a lot of the negative reviews. Like I said I have only been here for 2 mnths but I think its good. My wife has some health issues and the benefits package is good. I generally get good support and the Government teams like working with us, here at 29 palms at least. I like that the owner of the company comes out to the job quite a bit to see us."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Be prepared to work hard. It's a really good place to work for."
What don't you like about working at Hal Hays Construction?
"They weren't kidding in the interview when they said they were lean and mean. I get emails from 4 in the morning until midnight, which isn't a bad thing. it's just a lot of work, but if you enjoy your job then it's great."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Keep winning jobs. We have a lot of people to keep employed."

"I will not talk ill about any company I work or haved worked for."

"I have none. They are a very well run company."

"Everything has been really good, first-line supervisors have come and gone a few times"

"Be yourself, stay honest to yourself. You only get what you ask for so ask and negotiate."
What don't you like about working at TMG Services?
"re-training the first line supervisors is never fun. Starting over doesn't allow progress to flow as easy as it should."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"listen to your men in the field, the guys going the work and building the project."

"At this time in our countrys economy, the Military are the only ones spending money"

"I enjoy performing quality control on military construction projects, it allows me to utilize all the experiance I have gained during my career."
What don't you like about working at Soltek Pacific?
"The uncertainty of military contract awards (the civilian world doesn't have the need for my position like the military does."
