What do you like about working at Connell Bros?

"When Brayton Wilbur was alive the company was an exciting international merchandise distributor. With freedom to work with the buyer/trader in all aspects of the job. From communications, procurement, budget, shipment and vendor negotiations. After Brayton Wilbur became ill and no longer ran the company, it became more corporation in attitude with little responsibility or advancement opportunities. In the later years it was close to work environment harassment. If I could work for the company again I would, but they have their goals and ideals for employees and I don't match them. I liked working for Connell understanding the pay was low, the advancement was nil, yet I felt I was apart international trade and helping growth of the company."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If your daddy is a Fortune 500 company owner, employment will be assured."

What don't you like about working at Connell Bros?

"Not much. I understood the opportunities were limited, pay was low, but I liked working for Connell."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"None. They wouldn't listen to me. I tried for 19 years to help with my opinions and suggestions, I guess I embarrassed my employers in their realizing I knew more then them."
