"The new manager wanted to fire me after my return from vacation. Note, this manager was fired 1 month after I was let go."

"Get it in writing. Whatever promises they make to you, get it in writing."

"I enjoyed working for NASA and gained much experience in embedded engineering, but many layoffs had been impending with the closing of KSC."
What do you like about working at NASA?
"Great equipment and projects. Excellent benefits."
What don't you like about working at NASA?
"Management was not very competent. Instability due to impending closing of KSC."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Managers need to be very familiar with the technical skills required for each project, and need to use resources (personnel) in a less wasteful manner."

"Staff were not happy working there, Building was pieced together and data center was steadily getting to heavy for the building and was beginning to sink into the floor below it."

"Undermanned department of 2 computer engineer field techs for 3 facilities."

"The need to have field techs stationed in all three facilities"

"Was able to learn low-level programming and get exposed to real-time embedded systems. Developed VME-bus drivers."

"KSC may not remain open for much longer."

"Too many politics to really advance based on skills and efforts."

"Need team leaders that have a strong technical background and a good knowledge of current languages in order to drive projects effectively."
