"The most recent company I worked for is CommScope. CommScope acquired ARRIS, a company that I worked for, in April 2019. Legacy CommScope came from a cellular base station infrastructure and antenna background and ARRIS had enterprise and infrastructure networking, services, and CPE business units. The combination of the two companies unleashed a company that could offer products for a wide range of industries, from cable and telco service providers to independent network operators. The fruits of this synergistic merger will take a few more months but their future is very bright."

Don't like new CEO. has mostly good management, but there are a few bad ones that don't enable their direct reports well. Solid products and solutions, and it's easy to get behind them in terms of solutions selling. Great co-workers. Just can't recommend since the Commscope merger though."

"Try to open to having multiple responsibilities and ensure that you are flexible in work schedule."

"There was opportunity to advance in the company. There was also a lack in management support."

"It would be beneficial to communicate with the employees the plans for the future of the company."

"Despite the management styles employed, I was able to expand my knowledge in web application pentesting."

"Don not apply for any IT position unless you want your career to stagnate."

What don't you like about working at CommScope?

"Working for a telecomunications equipment manufacturer and not being able to telecommute is behind the curve. Training is promoted and not followed through on. Employees are expected to know the policies, yet they are not communicated to the employees. There is no communications between the CIO and the people working under this position. The management by intimidation stifles the desire to put forth any creative efforts."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Change the management style culture, not all of your employees live in the county where you are the only employer."

"Challenging pace. NPI process. Working with teams around the globe."

"Limited growth potential. Inability to move positions. Lack of formal training procedures being developed."

"Improved communication through various levels of the company. Standardized reporting of pertinent information between groups."

"This use to be a great place to work but over the past 5 years theres not much stability there"

"Seems like there was a buddy system between middle and upper management, so some people got what they needed for thier department and others didn't"

"Get more involed in following up on what is going on on the production floor not just take middle managments word for it."
