Comlux Aviation Employee

"This place has been ran in the ground by the board and management. People quit or get fired everyday. Your just a number here. Very high stress company. Owe every part company out there so we cant get parts till 2 days or so before we need them. Then the airplane being late leaving is blamed on the floor employees because the part came so late. They undercut all bids just to get work in the door when they know there not making anything on the project. Parking in hanger lot Is for special people only and if you park there they will come find you to move it. Makes employees work long hours to get a project done that is behind and dont compensate for it. They do the work with very few people as possible ."

"Stay away from this place your just a number here . They owe every parts vendor so can not get parts till a day or 2 before we need them. They operate from job to job. They have not made a profit on any project and never will. They have ran all the good trained employees off and now have no trained people and people from different departments doing work they know nothing about or even how to do it. They keep a eye on there precious parking lot at hanger only special people get to park there and if somebody is parked there that not supposed to be they will come and find you to move it. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE."

Avionics Installer

"My husband worked as an Avionics Installer in the Wire Shop 7 years ago for Comlux in Indiana, where he was subtlety harassed by a direct female employee in which the lead refused to do anything about the situation. We learned years later and much to everyone's relief she was fired. My husband was laid off by the new British Avionics Manager with another man and they were told they were eligible for rehire and that was 7 years ago. My husband tried many times through the Contract Houses to get rehired and Comlux always says "not at this time". Prior to this new British Avionics Manager, Comlux took my husband back after he was laid off. Also before my husband was laid off by this new British Avionics Manager my husband’s supervisor had advised him to continue using a Lazer Wire Marking Machine after the Warning Notice came up to change the Flash Tube. This wasn't done until over a week later. A tech representative had to be called in from the machine manufacturer to actually fix the machine after they changed the flash tube and the machine still did not work. If there's anyone to blame or hold accountable for this action as well as the harassment from the female direct it lays on the lead and supervisor. As for refusing for taking my husband back for employment I can't help but view this as also an act of Age Discrimination. I know Comlux will try to lie, but they have no excuse. Recently my husband tried to get a hold of HR after he was turned down again for no reason and according to HR it was the British Avionics Manager who repeatedly turned him down. Since my husband is being repeatedly turned down I figure this post is not going to improve his future employment opportunities at Comlux, but in my opinion will expose the unethical practices of Comlux."

Comlux Aviation Employee

"Stay, stay, stay away from this company. You have to worry every day if you will have a job the next day. They fire employees by the hour every day. Management is a joke. All they worry about is their completion bonus on every project, and the hard working people that do work don't even get a bonus or even a thank you for the job done. They owe every aviation vendor there is. And can't even pay their insurance premiums."

Comlux Aviation Employee

"Stay Away! This company operates on fear and intimidation. The superiors and people in charge have no idea how to run a business. Every project is always behind schedule and management is always laying the blame on the employees. They forget to mention that the do NOT pay their vendors so completing your job on time and correctly is next to impossible. Thus...seven day a week work week, budget overruns, disgruntled employees, and late paychecks... just to name a few. Each department fights with and blames other departments on a daily basis. Engineering is clueless, avionics not much better, and the planning and scheduling department is a joke. The only competent departments in the place are sheet metal, purchasing, and upholstery. Supervisors, department leads, and general employees, are fired and replaced on a daily basis. No continuity whatsoever. The HR department is also a joke. The manager in charge will not help employees, always looks to "get dirt" on all employees, and does not have the respect of any outside the HR department. You have been warned. Not a good career move."

"I love the company that I work for and it has given me the opportunity right out of college to develop the knowledge to advance myself in aviation. I appreciate everything that have done for me and my family. I would recommend this company to anyone looking to get involved in a completion center and get ahead in life."
