"Normally, your compensation is a result of working several years, working hard and performing well. Any employer recognizes effort which usually translates into high compensation. You may also bring previous experiences which translates into your rate. I don't understand how anyone could say they were under paid. You are paid what you are paid. It's up to the company to decide if you are over or under paid. I will say that a company is often forced to re-evaluate compensation as profit or loss occurs. But, a non-profit can escape such instability except when a new CEO is hired. Then, watch out."
