"Working for a publicly-traded industry, reporting to the Global Sr. Vice President Supply Chain and managing Indirect Category for three platforms- ESAB, DJO Global & Howden in Colfax Corporation. Also having 16 direct reports across a Global footprint of 10 countries supporting 25 manufacturing locations. Responsible for both the strategic and tactical opportunities as it pertains to indirect materials with a spend responsibility of $750 million (ESAB- $300ML; Howden- $200ML & DJO Global- $250ML). Continuously performing strategic procurement activities across multiple categories of spend, search for better deals or savings ideas and find more profitable suppliers for all categories of Indirect materials- Business Services (IT,HR, Marketing, Office Supplies) MRO, Facilities, F&L Working with cross-functional global teams (i.e. manufacturing, engineering, quality, and marketing) and align conflicting goals to take advantage of market situations as they arise. Understand the metrics which drive the department and how to use knowledge of materials and market to identify and drive potential projects to optimize material and manufacturing processes to minimize costs while still maintaining quality of products. Develop and drive processes to continuously identify and drive costs down to make the business more profitable. Develop long term strategic relationship with suppliers and use knowledge of managerial accounting and data analysis to identify cost drivers and market arbitrage opportunities to aggressively negotiate while managing supplier relationships to get the best value. • 2019 maximum cost savings target of $25million delivered and $28million annualized."
