Analyst Lead

"I've been with Cognosante for nearly three years. While I am extremely grateful have learned new skills working with business and support analysts, the urgency to develop employees with skills for a potential promotion was lacking. The CEO is extremely ambitious, but unfortunately does not engage the consumer-facing staff to better understand business needs."

Cognosante Employee

"I've been with Cognosante for just about a year now. If you want to be pigeon-holed into doing one single thing for the rest of your career, this is the place for you. If you want to work with ancient technology and troglodytic thinking, this is the place for you. The management is EXTREMELY AUTHORITARIAN. The major challenges are being blocked from doing any work by process, process, and more redundant process. When you do get useful work it's difficult to get anything done due to an overly excessive meeting load and endless pontification. The upper management has signaled very clearly: Employees are seen as an expense to be curtailed at every opportunity. They hire 3rd party companies to perform "dependent audits". The company they hired is such a bottom-feeding low-life scum-sucking no-morals unscrupulous hack of a corporation that they were willing to BREAK THE LAW to purge my dependents off of my health insurance. Cognosante refused to help me in this matter and I had to threaten a lawsuit to get my dependents restored to my benefits. This was AFTER fully complying with their overly burdensome document demands WITHIN the timeframe they supplied. ILLEGAL AND UNDERHANDED! Subsequently, Cognosante has COMPLETELY GUTTED THEIR BENEFITS! Health insurance premiums have over doubled for the employee, while dental and vision over tripled! In addition to this, they bought a call center so they could fire all their distributed helpdesk employees to reduce cost, and then they DEMANDED all their engineers volunteer for off-hours shifts to cover their lack of foresight in releasing all their helpdesk employees before getting clearance for their new ones. Of course, no additional compensation whatsoever was offered to their engineering staff. The pay is below market value, there are 0 bonuses, and you will NEVER get a raise without changing job titles. Work life balance is non-existent. They will call you at all hours of the night, on weekends, holidays, whenever!"
