"They did not listen to engineers when designing systems. Most systems were design by end user."

"To have more input from engineers. Work on team work. Include engineers on system design."

"The climate has changed, become more cut-throat, too much in-fighting between show teams."

"Change decrees from management which have spawned a tense environment and hopefully eliminate the in-fighting."

"We were given the opportunity to explore, to pitch ambitiously, to work with experienced editors who helped us hone our techniques. I'm definitely a better writer and reporter because of that internship. I even had a story included in a congressional briefing on the BP oil disaster."

"Even if you don't have a digital background, you can still be competitive. They're looking for reporters. That said, I did have to learn/relearn some programs while I was there, including Audacity and Final Cut."

What don't you like about working at CNN?

"I'm not the best when it comes to networking. Corporate environments scare me a little, but I'm getting better."

"As I said, I loved my editors. My only suggestion to some of them would be to stay in touch!"
