"While I am grateful for the role I have at CMIT Solutions, I am looking to leave for a few reasons. First there is a cultural fit issue. I am the most junior employee there by about 15 years. While I am very comfortable working in diverse groups, I find that my growth is limited when my colleagues and directors assume that my "millennial tendencies" prevent me from being able to work with autonomy. The CEO and VP of Operations really encourage this stereotype, making the matter worse. Furthermore, from a cultural aspect, the franchise industry is meant for people who are chasing dollar signs. I want to contribute to the world positively, and, while I want to be compensated fairly for my time, money is not my main motivation."
