"I worked for CCF for a very long time. I performed well with good reviews, met all expectations, yet was able to only move laterally, never up. Co-workers were generally very good folks, but the overall work setting was toxic. It's rife with politics and marginal management. HR enables and encourages the toxic workplace by not following its own rules. After successful decades of service, I was notified I would be terminated on a technicality--one day before my employment ended. I was replaced by someone half my age who had no training or experience for my former role. He was given two days to shadow me and was overwhelmed. There was no farewell party, no thanks for the many years of dedicated service, almost no communication from HR unless I spent much time leaving follow-up voicemails and emails. Since they outsourced IT, it has been an even worse toxic environment. Now they are fighting my recent unemployment claim. Definitely not a recommended employer - ever."

"I was working for a local medical practice for almost 2 years. I loved what I did and I used to love going to work. The Physician I worked with were awesome and knowledgeable and always willing to assist. The HR and Administration department was equally stellar. Then on January 2nd of 2015, they were acquired by Cleveland Clinic Foundation. We were aware of the merger 6 months prior to the change, yet we had ZERO training on the necessary systems for our job functions. I was literally told my trainer never showed up and I needed to go through the system myself and become familiar... my position was to submit prior approval for ALL Radiology procedures. Since I had no training, I fell weeks behind on my work and was submitting old requests to be approved on tests that were already done. It was the most sloppy, unethical, and disorganized running of a company I have ever seen. I stated my frustrations and concerns to my manager and she informed me I was negative and needed to move on from my bad attitude. In the meantime I'm crying because my workflow for the first time since I had been working was backed up and I had no support. So please, before you consider a position here, remember the primary reason I left. NO COMMUNICATION OR SUPPORT."

"Cleveland Clinic provided a rewarding experience with opportunities for career advancement. However, I feel the size of the employer overshadows the advancement of their employees once they've taken advantage of further education and/or opportunities."
