"Be prepared to create great relationships with management and key players as a top priority, because if you are not 'in' it will be hard for you to function, receive mentoring, etc."

"This division was a revenue stream for the university (contracting with the State), rather than in service of the educational mission or administrative functions. Therefore little of the usual sense of common purpose was in evidence."
