Serve as a financial partner to management of the Masterbatches and Cargo Device & Protection business units in North America, with relationships with China, India and European subsidiaries. Responsible for developing and communicating the financial strategic plan and annual budget including providing business analysis and establishing procedures. Areas of accountability encompass managing multiple P&Ls, production cost center planning, fixed and variable costs, strategic planning, materials and inventory management, financial analysis, and month-end closes. Support the regional and global controlling organization.

Clariant is a manufacturer of specialty chemical products for industry and medicine. The company was founded in 1995 as a division of Sandoz Pharmaceuticals, a prominent Swiss firm based in Basel. Clariant expanded by incorporating the German firm Hoechst in 1997, Britain’s BTP plc in 2000 and Masterbatches, a division of Ciba, in 2006. The 2008 acquisition of US pigment manufacturers Ricon Colors and Rite Systems gave Clariant a presence in the States. Growth has continued with the addition of the German chemical firm Sud-Chemie in 2011.
Clariant is involved in biotechnology projects relating to food production. They provide emulsions, catalysts and detergents for many industrial applications, and they are the makers of many common pigments, additives and other products. Their Oil and Mining Services Unit is a major provider of chemicals used in mining and petroleum processing. Many common chemical processes rely on materials made by Clariant or one of its subsidiaries.
