"Chordus was in financial trouble due to poor management decisions when I started and there was a real reluctance to change. The overall mood was the economy will get better and we will be all right and that was a fantasy. The board decided they needed a Chief Financial Officer rather than a Controller, so they brought one on board at twice my salary at a time when I was scrounging to get the cash for payroll each week! I was laid off for lack of cash about two weeks later.. Bankruptcy now."
