"This is a review based off a friend who was recently let go as a manager. I worked for the company as an employee several years ago and left due to what I perceived was a really poor work environment and culture within the company. Very black and white. Manager friend who started as a busser, worked for the company for 17 years and moved his way up to be a GM was terminated for being in the building for 16 seconds by himself, to retrieve his cell phone that he left behind after the store closed. Yep that’s it. Why? Because it’s the rule. Didn’t matter that it was all on camera. The rule is the rule. I asked what should he have done. He said call someone back to enter the building with them, or get it the next day. Now think about this, you have no phone, so can you call anyone? If your car breaks down, can you call an Uber with no phone? Why would you want to work for a company that treats their managers like this? As far as pay and compensation and the actual work, I can’t really give my two cents about that as it could all be really good, it the culture of a company that could let you go in the blink of an eye for an honest mistake or a reasonable mistake is not something I would be involved in. Nothing has changed with this company and it looks like it still won’t anytime soon"

"Worked for the company for 6 years. I truly loved the brand but poor management and no structure or consistency ruined it for me. They show no loyalty, use no logic, don't stick to their own words. If they followed the way things should run they would be set up for success, instead they have managers that don't care making decisions. They reward the lazy people that complain and expect the world from the reliable workers, leaving them to do three jobs at once. Constantly stressful because the managers don't manage. Food ticket times used to exceed a half hour for appetizers and this would be considered normal. Almost felt bad for the managers that weren't the GM because they would get screwed also and that's why the servers suffered. Seriously wondering how they are still open at that location."

"Coworkers are very nice, but management is very condescending. Hostesses are treated like garbage, the job is very stressful when dealing with micromanaging supervisors who literally take your seating tools away from you and impatient customers at the same time. I hated going there."

"Easily the worst job I've had in 20 years of cooking in restaurants. Fellow kitchen employees and management are some of the laziest I've ever seen as well. Steer clear of this establishment."

"Worked myself tired daily for them, but still was treated with a lack of respect, co-workers were great , but one particular manger was rude to all his employees and it was just disgusting and shameful. Furthermore, the long waits and stress were pushed on the host, some customers could be just as rude as your work partners or mangers. This place lacks of atmosphere, and needs a little more discipline. When Chili's learns to respect their employees then I'll give them a 5 star, but the lack of respect for employees is just disgusting. $2.85 gets you no where, while you break your back. Oh and let me not forget the ziosk that everyone hates."
