3.3 I've worked for Chico's for 15 years and really loved it. Made lots of bonus over the years. When the company was owned by the original owners that is when it was the best. The owners were not only good to its customers but to their employees as well. As time went on and new leaders and owners came in it became a doggy doggy world at Chico's. They want employees to see all of everyone's high sales to create jealous and ruthlessness among the associates. Well yes, all the associates fought tooth and nail to get more and better sales to be the best but it only causes resentment among the workers and fighting. Before this associates would take turns for sales and share sales. Now it became who can take as many customers as possible. The clothing and discount happens to be the best part of the job. More work than you know behind the scenes. Cleaning, vacuuming, folding, organizing the racks and store. Good luck to anyone that thinks this is a dream job!

2.8 A few things I would change: First of all, quit all of the sales promotions!!! Customers have learned that the meaner they are, the more they get. They are basically bargaining for their clothing. Secondly, let the call centers have Sundays and holidays off. Thirdly, stop the micromanaging! It's killing morale. At our call center, you are looked down on if you have a life outside Chico's, any health issues and can't work overtime every week. And lastly, please pay the bonuses that were promised.

Chico’s FAS, Inc., makes its headquarters in Ft. Myers, Florida as a conglomerate of four clothing brands. The company was designed to serve the wardrobe needs of women over the age of 29. The brands include: Chico’s, White House/Black Market, Soma Intimates and Boston Proper. As of 2012, the group has almost 1,300 stores throughout the United States. In addition, each brand is available for purchase online.

Chico’s originally began in 1983 selling Mexican art and sweaters. The store has since transformed into an upscale clothing line with trendy, flattering styles for women that appeal to their practicality at the same time. White House/Black Market opened its doors in 1985. The company specializes in a wide range of black and white clothing and adds in splashes of color as accents. Soma Intimates, a lingerie and personal apparel company, started in 1984 and provides intimate clothing options for women. Boston Proper, purchased in 2011, is available through catalog and website purchase only. Brick-and-mortar stores will be tested in 2013.
