"I am horrified about this salary! Try Vanguard, Fidelity, Merryl Lynch, Goldman, Pershing, they all pay way better... Schwab used to be a top salary company but after 2007 they stayed with the mentality that they do not have to pay a ton. They are settled and have lots of resources, therefore, other employees can pick up the slack while they hire and train new employees. VP of adviser services said, sorry if it costs too much to work here, we do ask for highest level of service from each employee because we know you are the best. We feel our salary scale is in line with everyone else. In other words we want you to be better than everyone, however, we don't want to pay you better than everyone else. Quarterly meeting 2014."

"I believe the contract rate was appropriate for the scope and goal of the project. I believe the salary should reflect an increase with any additional skills and responsibilites outside of documentation and repository management. With this as a focus for career development a KM Specialist should always continue to expand knowledge of software, BA understanding and process methodologies."

"Starting salary for new hires is "ok" depending on your department, but no opportunity to get promoted and average merit increases of 1% do not keep pace with competitors (or inflation!). Bonus funding is complex to understand, and entirely dependent on whether your manager likes you or not."
