"Having worked here for 2 years now, it is an incredible place to work. I enjoy my time here and the people are all great to talk to. I feel it isn't very competitive in compensation with other companies in the area, and some management changes should be made, but overall a great experience with some opportunity to move upwards if you know where to look."

"Charles Schwab is a great company to work for. In my duration at this company I have learned the basic understanding of capital market, as well as developed into a full stack software engineer using the latest industry standard technologies."

"I've worked for Schwab for over a decade. Over the past 3 years, the culture has changed. Management, led by the head of Retail now ONLY focuses on numbers. There has been a significant loss of talent due to this change. Management (from the top down) constantly threatens EVERYONE's jobs. This plan to double the # of FCs is a pipe dream unless they address employee retention. Hopefully the board realizes the issue sooner than later. I along with every one of my colleagues are looking at jobs at other companies."

"Started in 2009, during the bad times for financial services corporations. Was promised career advancement, great bonus and project pay (overtime for special times of the year). Lies, that is the only way to describe it. If you enjoy a salary in the mid 50's and just want to come in, be stressed and over worked, but leave and not worry about work afterwards, then this may be the place for you. Oh yeah expect raises to be average inflation minus 1% for meets expectations and maybe average inflation for all else."

"Worked at Schwab for 9 years. Great company, but slow to move on ideas and hard to get new roles. As my relationship with my superior declined, work became horrible."

"Contract opportunities here can be exceptional restrictive due to the immense security required for an a major financial investment firm. With the current workforce migrating to more flexibility and deliverables driving this can be frustrating for someone coming into the environment from a more relaxed role or requirements."
