Working at CG Automation in Houston, TX: 1 Employee Reviews

Regional Sales Manager

"Great Company, east of the Mississippi, streached nationally and internationally."

What do you like about working at CG Automation?

"Great reputable people, good core company that cares about customers and employees. Very reputable system supplier, honest to a fault. Very good at product maintenance and and maintaining backward compatibility. Generally fun place to work. Very good moral and telephone support."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Steve DalyaI and Norm Lavoie are keys to the kingdom, both value and require demonstrable sales presence and technical competence at the interview. Shawn and the rest of the sales staff, if present for any interviews also have strong input. Ability to use and use of their CRM system (SalePlus) is a must. Defiantly requires a lot of travel, so it helps if you like it or are accustomed to 75% or more. Diverse spread of projects ~80% between $100K and $750K and remainder generally $750K to $2.5M. The spread varies more towards 50/50 if involved with IOUs and Transportation."

What don't you like about working at CG Automation?

"Limited resources. Very limited physical sales & marketing support. Very limited ability to do R&D, product development and provide marketing materials. Under staffed and at times very limited ability to provide full support for maintenance contracts."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Nothing that money and more people can't fix. I'm not sure if they are able do better resource allocation."
