"I've worked with Cascade Connections for close to 6 months now, but have been in Program management of disabled adults for 2.5 years at current. The job primarily consists of maintaining quality relationships with the guardians of clients we support and keeping them up to date, advocacy for all clients in the community and their finances and managing staff to give them care, ranging from 1 hr to 24hr support care teams. The tools on hand to do the Job effectively are unfortunately out of date and can crash (mainly the computers) if too many task are trying to be completed at once. Time management changes weekly, leading to conflicts in scheduling staff and myself to fill gaps in the schedule as on staff one day is unfortunately unavailable the next, though their software once loaded is good at assisting to keep track. The resources available are helpful once known where they are, but at times are very disorganized and confusing to oncoming staff, meaning retraining is almost a frequent occurrence."
