"I worked as a temp at Care Design New York’s Hopewell Junction office. The work environment was noisy and uncomfortably cold. The computers slowed down a few times per day. The office culture is xenophobic. For unknown reasons, some employees developed negative attitudes toward me. My only crime seemed to be that I had to work while ill, due to poverty. One unhinged individual became harassing and physically abusive. Only alternative was to quit. I lodged a complaint to the company’s HR department; they were generous with their time and kindly listened to my complaint, if at times seeking to rationalize their employee’s bad behavior."

"Worked as on contract in a cold meat locker with slow computers and lots of noise and rude and abusive workers. Xenophobic attitudes. One off-the-rails individual intentionally knocked into me. A sick office culture. Complained to HR who were generous with their time. Don't know if the personnel problem was corrected. If not, the ship will eventually sink."

"Uncomfortably cold and noisey environment, computer slow-downs a few times a day. Worse are the employees, who will be rude or even abusive if they arbitrarily decide you don't fit in, or they just don't like you. They will ignore your greetings and look at you crosseyed. One disturbed person became physically aggressive; no problem with anyone in the place. A permissive environment, allowing xenophobes to act out their paranoia. Complaints to management go nowhere."
