"Don't. Just don't. Often you're given promises that don't amount to anything. Most of our young guys leave within a few months."
What don't you like about working at Canadian National Railway?
"Everyone is so disorganized and the management seems to change their minds daily. We are kept in the dark until they have already decided something. We're also told to put ties in at the wrong times and generally mismanaged on the job. Thank christ I'm retiring."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Listen to people in the field. They know the problems with their track and they will tell you."
